Diane's Monthly Update

December

Happy Holiday Season to all.

That said, this is the month of a Blue Moon.
This first full moon is on December 2nd and the Blue Moon is on December 31rst.
Remember, when there are two full moons in one month the second full moon is the Blue Moon.  Only happens once a year...a magickal time.

Quote:  "I like to think that the moon is there even if I am not looking at it."  ~Albert Einstein

September

September's full moon is called the "Corn Moon."   It takes place on the fourth of the month.    The full moon that is the closest to the equinox is called the Harvest Moon and is sometimes in September and sometimes in October.  This year(2009), the equinox happens on September 22.  Therefore, the  Harvest Moon will take place next month on October 4th.  One of my favorite full moons.

Quote for the month:  "Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet."  ~Roger Miller

July

The new moon is on July 21st.  It a great time to start new projects, interview for jobs, and start to get yourself organized.  As the moon waxes or appears as it's getting larger in the sky, so will those goals you set forth become closer.  Write down three things you would like to see happen by the end of summer.  Be realistic.  On the day or night of the new moon visualize those things coming into your life.

Full Moon:  July 7.
New Moon July 21.

Quote for the month:   "The summer night is like a perfection of thought."  ~Wallace Stevens

June

Full Moon June 7th.

Summertime is upon us and it's a good time to starting "doing."  Make lists of things you need to do daily and follow through.   Regardless, don't overburden yourself.  Don't forget to start attracting positive times via visualization.  "See" yourself where you want to be.  Also, take time for fun and love.

Quote:  "If a June night could talk, it would probably boast that it invented romance."
Bern Williams (American programmer and consultant).

"If you are a chemist who just wrote me, write again.  I accidently deleted your email.  Did I attract this?"

April

There is a Full Moon on Thursday, April 10th.  It is also called a Pink Moon, Fish Moon, and Full Sprouting Grass Moon (not to mention a few other names).  The Pink Moon's name is derived from the presence of pink moss and flowers of spring.  Fish Moon has to do with certain fish swimming upstream to spawn.

I want to also thank all the people who took the time and effort to write me about how to protect my garden from animals.  It's all working and thank you.  Now, any tips compost.  I left a bag out too long and it got moldy.  Yuk!

Quote for the month:  "Sweet April showers DO bring May flowers...Thomas Tusser

Hugs
Diane

March

Spring is here and the animals are eating my vegetable garden.   If you have any clues how to keep squirrels, rabbits, and armadillos away...please write.

Anyway, the full moon is on March 10th.

Quote for the month:
"Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!"  ~Robin Williams

February

Oh it's going to be Valentines Day this month.   All those hearts, flowers, bears, and candy.
Some people love it and some think it is all about advertising and can't wait for the day to pass.
Keep in mind, that any day can be a day to appreciate someone you love and give them 564 calories in a square of chocolate.

Quote of the month:  "Where there is great love, there are always miracles." - Willa Cather

Full Moon:  February 9th.

January

Happy New Year everyone.    The full moon this month is January 11th so take a look
.
I am sure all are thinking about new beginnings for 2009.  But also bear in mind, you can have a new beginning with anyone or for any reason, any  time.  You don’t have to wait a year to do it.

Regardless, it is a good time to set goals.

Quote of the month:  “Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve.  Middle age is when you're forced to.”  ~Bill Vaughn

December

Happy Holidays for a blessed season!  Thank all of you for your support in buying my books and visiting this site.
Full moon:  December 12th.

Quote for the month:
" God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.  Have you used one to say "thank you?"  ~William A. Ward

November

November, the month of Thanksgiving.  I give thanks to all of the people who view this website.   I am grateful that I have the right to vote. I give thanks, for the fact, that I can buy potatoes in a container, and they are not instant.  Life is so wonderful.
Also, If you have a recipe for a different  green been casserole with a little “kick” please share and I will list it under recipes for the holidays.  You know a good recipe comes back to you in blessings three times three!

Full Moon:  November 13th.

Quote for this month:  “Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude. “ - E.P. Powell

Blessings and more blessings,

Diane Ahlquist

October

Oh wonderful October.  Happy Birthday to all of you Libras at the beginning of the month!  The Full Moon is on October 14th.  It’s called the Blood Moon or Full Hunters Moon.

Also, there is going to be an article about me coming out in “Success Magazine” in November, for those who may be interested.

What else?  Oh yes.   How can I forget Halloween.   Be safe and happy.

Taken from my book The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Fortune Telling,  this is some fun information believe it or not.   I write, “ Halloween, also known in the Celtic tradition as Samhain (pronounced “Sowen”).  According to ancient lore from all over the world, this is the  time of year when the veil between the worlds is thinnest and when communing with the dead is not only possible, but desirable.  In Mexico, Dios de los Muertos, or “The Day of the Dead,” is celebrated with dancing skeletons and much merriment. "

Lastly,  check out Diane’s store on my home page, where I will be selling a few things if you want to take a look.  This is October 2nd so you might need to give us a few days to get it organized.  So check back if it’s not there now.

Quote of the month,   “The important thing in science is not so much to obtain new facts as to discover new ways of thinking about them.” -- William Lawrence Bragg, physicist.

September

“Shine on Harvest Moon.” Yes, the Full Harvest Moon appears on September 15th, so take a look.
That said, for some reason my book Moon Spells is taking off again. So thank you to all the new readers who are purchasing the book and the other readers who bought their copy many moons ago. In fact, thanks to everyone for purchasing any of my books! It’s always good to show gratitude.

Tell someone today how grateful you are to have them in your life.

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to The Law of Attraction continues to attract many readers. The words flew out of my brain, to the keyboard, as I was writing. I could hardly type fast enough. I hope all of you who have the book are enjoying it.

I think I have had enough time off. Therefore, I am planning on writing another book. More about that next month.

Quote for the month
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
William Arthur Ward (American scholar, author, pastor, teacher)

August

August is here and the Olympics are upon us. What a pleasure to watch these athletes, knowing I don’t have to even attempt such endeavors!

Thank you to all the readers who have been emailing me about how my new book, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to The Law of Attraction is changing their lives in a positive way. I am very excited and love you all.

I have no appearances scheduled this month and intend on taking it easy. I need to get away from my computer for a while and tend to my garden and walk in nature. Might even hug a tree to two.
Since I love quotes, I have decided to include a favorite quote of the month.

Quote for the month: “The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.” -William James, American psychologist and philosopher.

Full Moon August 16th.

July

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!  I AM SO PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.  BORN IN CHICAGO AND RAISED WITH RESPECT FOR MY FELLOW AMERICANS, I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THE FOURTH OF JULY.

But wait...what else is happening?  My book signing at Barnes and Noble in Sarasota was energetic.  Regardless, I will be back in November for a free lecture about the Law of Attraction and another signing at Barnes and Noble Sarasota.  Check  my appearances for details.

Ladies, please make your reservations for my seminar on August 2nd, we are selling out.  See my home page.

Full Moon:  August 16, 2007  (Full Sturgeon Moon)

LOTS OF LOVE,
